Field Sales Opportunity

The Role:

  • Visit potential customers for new business
  • Visit existing customers to upsell/cross sell
  • Provide customers with quotations
  • Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
  • Gather market and customer information
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities
  • Record sales & activity on a CRM
  • Analysis of CRM for sales opportunities

Quarry Site Supervisor

Peter Bennie Ltd are looking for a ‘Quarry Site Supervisor’ to be held accountable for production and management of the team at their quarry near Banbury.

Key responsibilities include;

  • To ensure the operations under your control comply with the relevant statutory legislation, and Company Health and Safety Policy.
  • To ensure that all site Health, Safety and Environmental documentation and practices are completed to a high standard, including daily briefings and quarry checks, weekly ‘Toolbox Talks’, accident and near miss reporting, and confidently challenging any unsafe behaviour.
  • To ensure that all materials supplied to customers comply with the relevant quality and volume specifications, and that a high quality of service is given to the customer.
  • To assist in purchasing spares, materials, and services as required for effective running of the operation at the most cost-effective price possible.
  • To ensure that there is the right plant and personnel in place to deliver work required by customers and maintain a good level of ground stock at the quarry.
  • To maintain accurate weekly reporting of production KPIs, and assist the Quarry Manager in business budgeting, planning and phasing for the Group quarrying and landfill operation.
  • To compile accurate maintenance records and ensure that servicing and repairs are carried out as required.
  • To provide support to on site personnel including ongoing training and development, signing off time-sheets and authorisation of holiday requests.
  • Maintain good working relationships and effective communication between the Group Management and employees notifying the Quarry Manager if problems are developing.

Travel to other quarry and landfill sites in Northamptonshire will be required from time to time.

Mobile Plant Operator

Peter Bennie Ltd are looking for a mobile plant operator to work at their quarry near Banbury.

Reporting to the Quarry Site Supervisor the successful candidate must have previous experience using mobile plant including crushers, screeners, loading shovel, dumpers and 360° excavators in a similar environment and hold certified tickets of plant competence on more than one of the mobile plant listed.

The ideal candidate will have experience in operating plant within a quarry environment, hold plant operator’s licences for loading shovel, crusher and screener machinery and will be qualified to NVQ/QCF Level 2 (SPMO). The ideal candidate will also have an awareness of the Quarry Regulations 1999.
Travel to the Company’s other quarry and landfill sites in Northamptonshire required from time to time so the successful candidate will need to hold a full UK driving licence.
