Company Summary:

Bennie Haulage provides haulage and transport services for both the construction and equipment sectors. Our fleet of 8-wheel tipper trucks, low loaders and crane lorries available for bulk haulage, muck away, and plant & machine transport across the UK.

Our heritage in haulage dates back decades to a time when Bennie used to run in excess of 50 tippers across Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas. Our fleet of modern vehicles are available to meet all customer requirements.

As an employee within a family business, you will be working in a close-knit team environment for a company that has our employees at the centre of everything we do.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 40 hours per week flexible hours between 07:00 and 18:00. You are also required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties or that may be required to fulfil role.

Job Role/Description

Bennie Haulage  have an exciting opportunity to be part of a new, growing business. The role will be delivering our products, whilst providing excellent customer service and supporting the wider group of Bennie companies.  

   

Responsibilities

  • Safe and efficient delivery of goods
  • Carry out necessary vehicle checks – to ensure they are safe to operate
  • Compliance with legislation – drivers’ hours, highway regulations
  • Maintenance of mandatory driver/vehicle records
  • Vehicle security including equipment and plant
  • Ensure vehicle and cab are kept clean

The above list of responsibilities is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post. As well as other duties relevant to your experience.

Competencies

  • Clean Class 2 License
  • Valid Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • Tipper driving experience
  • Time management / ability to work under pressure
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Flexible
  • Effective communication skills
