At Bennie we believe it is important to think beyond the work place by supporting our local communities and good causes. Our employees are always doing something caring or energetic to raise money for charity
Family Business UK
At BENNIE, we take pride in our family roots as a 4th generation family business with nearly 90 years of history (1935). Our family business is fuelled by dedicated individuals and strong values.
Much like Family Business UK, we back family businesses across the UK, sharing knowledge and collaborating to create a more prosperous future for generations to come.
Product Donations
Across the BENNIE family of companies we actively support a range of good causes with product/service donations, from donating our quality topsoil products to community garden projects, providing forklifts for goods moving relief efforts, right through to providing our bespoke men’s footwear (Newman & Regent) as raffle prizes to some truly inspirational causes.
We’re humbled to be able to provide our diverse solutions to such initiatives that make a real difference to peoples lives.
Supporting Local Youth Sports
We’re passionate about supporting local youth across Northamptonshire, providing them with opportunities to learn and grow in productive environments.
With many shared synergies between a well-managed sports team and a high performing business team, sports teach the young people great essential skills on teamwork, personal development and time keeping that will stay with them well into their working careers.
We currently sponsor the following youth sports teams:
Matt Hampson Foundation
The Bennie Group developed a task force consisting of Barton Plant, Barton Civils and Peter Bennie to help the Matt Hampson Foundation develop a Get Busy Living Centre. The Centre now helps the rehabilitation of sports professionals that receive life changing injuries and is the dream of Matt Hampson.
Ride High
The Bennie Group has been involved with Ride High for many years. Emma, former MD and now Chairman of The Bennie Group, was appointed a Chair of the Trustees for the charity between 2012 and 2013 and continues to work closely with the organisation.
The excellent team at Ride High have helped over 1000 children to date, supporting an average of 80 children per week!
About Ride High
The charity helps disadvantaged children and those having difficulties in their daily lives, by giving them the opportunity to learn to ride and look after horses and ponies. There is evidence that for children who are angry, hurt, upset, lonely or underprivileged, contact with horses can have highly beneficial effects.
Ride High is a registered charity (no. 1138260).
