Company Summary:

Peter Bennie, part of The Bennie Group, has operations across Northamptonshire operating quarries, material recycling centres and inert landfill sites.

Working Hours:

Monday to Wednesday, 24 hours per week 7:00 to 4:00 – You are also required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties or that may be required to fulfill role.

Job Role/Description

Ensure the efficient working of the weighbridge, accurately recording the movement of goods and invoicing to Peter Bennie customers.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the weighbridge, ensuring all goods in and out are accurately recorded into the relevant system
  • Assist customers collecting goods as appropriate
  • Process cash sales and take card payments
  • Complete daily invoicing
  • Check goods in against purchase orders and receipt them in correctly
  • Understand and promote the sites health and safety policies, ensuring these are followed by site visitors

Competencies

  • Strong data entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail  
  • Excellent communication skills  
  • Ability to multitask  
  • Experience in weighbridge operation preferred but full training will be provided 
  • Working knowledge of Sage 200 desirable but not essential
