Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 40 hours per week. You are also required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties or that may be required to fulfil role.

Job Role/Description

A crucial role from start to finish, a Lasting Production Operative ensures the wearer’s size and shape are embedded into the shoe. Working with various leathers and materials, the ideal Lasting Production Operative will have attention to detail, strong capabilities, and passion.

Working alongside other Production Operatives, you will work with machinery on the factory floor and with IT equipment to make sure the machinery is set up properly, working well, and producing high-quality products in a safe environment. As a production operative you will make sure your equipment is working at full capacity, are stocked with the necessary materials and are well-maintained.

A production operator must adhere to safety guidelines and ensure that final products meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Have a thorough knowledge of our wide range factory machinery and how it works.
  • Operate required machinery and own hand skills to complete your tasks.
  • Work in a timely manner adhering to strict product lead times.
  • Work in a diligent manner inspecting and ensuring quality is at the required level.
  • Be responsible for maintaining equipment and reporting any faults.
  • Maintain the work area ensuring it is clean organised and safe.
  • Identify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor immediately.
  • Work in a safe manor adhering to the company’s health and safety instructions.

  • Ability to learn on the job.
  • Hand and machine lasting skill and knowledge is essential
  • Flexible and able to adapt well to change.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Prioritise and manage a challenging and varied workload.
  • Goodyear welted experience would be an asset.
  • An understanding of footwear patterns desirable.
