Ride High 10th Anniversary

Date: Category: Uncategorized

This week our Group MD Emma Ayres and Operations Director Matthew Ayres, attended Ride High’s 10th Anniversary celebration at the Ride High Equestrian Centre in Milton Keynes.

The Bennie Group has been involved with Ride High for many years. Emma was appointed a Chair of the Trustees for the charity between 2012 and 2013 and continues to work closely with the organisation.

Over the past 10 years Ride High has continued to grow steadily thanks to the support of the local community and its corporate sponsors. The excellent team at Ride High have helped over 1000 children to date, supporting an average of 80 children per week!

The 10th anniversary event brought together charity volunteers, supporters, sponsors and some of the Ride High Children. Rachel Medill, Ride High Founder, spoke about why she founded the charity and its 10 year journey transforming the lives of children and young adults

Guests of the 10-year celebration were given the opportunity to donate and paint a commemorative piece of mural that will be displayed in the Equestrian Centre for many years to come. Matthew showed off his painting skills on behalf of The Bennie Group in the picture seen below….

Emma comments “I am incredibly humbled by the continued growth and support of the Ride High cause. Supporting the local community and helping underprivileged and troubled youths with opportunities to help them learn and grow is a subject that’s close to our heart. We’re an equal opportunities employer, and these children may one day join our own family of companies as part of our future workforce. We’re committed to supporting not only our present, but also our future…”

Matthew commented “To see the charity celebrate its 10th birthday at its permanent home at Loughton MK was both exciting and humbling. Rachel’s speech was very moving as she explained to us why she founded the charity and looked back at the incredible work the charity does for children. I look forward to seeing the charity continue to grow over the next decade as they improve the lives for many more young children in the Milton Keynes community.”

About Ride High

The charity helps disadvantaged children and those having difficulties in their daily lives, by giving them the opportunity to learn to ride and look after horses and ponies. There is evidence that for children who are angry, hurt, upset, lonely or underprivileged, contact with horses can have highly beneficial effects.

Ride High is a registered charity (no. 1138260).
