At Bennie we operate our ‘B-Safe’ policy; as a Group of companies operating predominantly in the construction and manufacturing sectors we take Safety very seriously. As such, we are very thrilled to announce the launch of our onsite Coronavirus lateral flow testing hub at our Head Office site in Cranford Road, Burton Latimer.
As an employer of over 100 people, we are thrilled to now be able to provide rapid lateral flow testing to our workforce. We have received full training from the Department of Health and Social Care and look forward to working with them and the Track and Trace team.
It is estimated that between one in three people that have coronavirus do not show symptoms but could still be infectious (https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-boost-to-rapid-workplace-testing) it is vitally important to test our teams on a regular basis to ensure we can work safely and reduce the spread of Covid-19 in the workplace and our homes.
Lateral flow tests take less than 30 minutes to give a result and will be a requirement for our workforce that cannot work from home. We believe that testing is vitally important for our team and society as a whole, and is an essential process to help us all move back towards an even safer and more ‘normal’ future. Whether our teams are servicing our customers Material Handling Equipment, lasting a pair of shoes or working from the office they can do so safely and with piece of mind.
We hope many more organisations that can, also take up this up. This could become a core part of the workplace for months to come. Getting staff back to the office, supporting their mental health, building our economy back better could require thousands of independently run sites like this across businesses in the UK.
